MDS is a leading provider of cloud solutions for convergent billing and customer management, enabling providers to monetise and bill any product and service rapidly and accurately.
MDS approached Frazer John Recruitment due to a need for a high calibre individual to take on a critical role within their business. The business was enjoying a period of widespread growth and expansion, but faced a challenge when their Marketing Director left. As the business was going through a major phase of transition, they were seeking a replacement who would do more than simply step into the former Marketing Director’s position.
The individual they required would need the expertise, experience and skills to not only pick up the workload, but also support the business and help it to move forward as it continued to grow. MDS specified that they would like to find an individual who had the drive and motivation of a self-starter, ideally with a proven track record operating within the technology sector.
Frazer John Recruitment began by offering a Subject Matter Expert (SME) Meeting to consult the business on their specific requirements and any challenges. As the business already had a very clear idea of the individual they were seeking, we elected instead to operate on a retained basis and work with them step by step throughout the process.
We began by taking a thorough briefing about the role and its scope, discussing time frames for the project, what the business hoped to achieve and the best ways in which we could support. Due to US involvement throughout, we also spent time discussing the candidate market in the UK, in order to ensure the best possible range of candidates and manage expectations.
We then took a multi-channel approach, advertising not only on job boards but also proactively headhunting the most talented and suitable individuals, approaching our established network of contacts. In order to ensure the process ran as smoothly as possible, we took on the additional task of liaising between the businesses UK and US offices, relaying vital information and feedback between them as the project progressed.
This project was extremely successful and Frazer John Recruitment now has the privilege of having been given a place on the businesses Preferred Supplier List. The candidate ultimately selected for MDS has seen ‘great success’ in their new role and MDS is pleased that they have been ‘adding value to the business’ since taking up the position.
